Frame.d is focused on the complete picture. Our team of architects and designers see each project as an opportunity to capture our clients’ goals and strive to design innovative spaces that bring their desires to life. By closely working together, we approach each project with a fresh perspective to ensure our clients’ vision is at the forefront of the design process. Whatever you are looking to build, we have the expertise and creativity to frame your design vision.

We believe great design begins with understanding your vision. We value thoughtful, intentional spaces. Our name reflects our approach: a Frame.d project captures your goals within a curated, intentional design narrative. Just as a frame defines a piece of art, we transform ideas into spaces that are practical, yet refined. At Frame.d, your vision isn’t just realized- it’s reimagined and brought to life.

Great design goes beyond aesthetics. It’s about creating spaces that function in harmony with their surrounding environment and the people who inhabit them. At Frame.d, we approach each project with a collaborative mindset and informed perspective, ensuring the final result reflects our clients’ goals, values, and unique points of view. We design with intention, turning challenges into thoughtful design solutions.

Our Founder

Emilie Rottman, AIA, is the Founding Principal of Frame.d. She has over fifteen years of experience in architecture, focusing on multi-family and single-family residential, K-12 education, and adaptive reuse. Many of her projects involve close coordination with local government agencies— including historic preservation, zoning boards, and local community stakeholders to ensure each design respects the character and context of the neighborhood.  Her leadership, coupled with acute attention to detail, ensures that each project is executed with precision.

Emilie is the fourth generation of women in her family to earn a postgraduate degree and own a business, carrying forward a legacy of resilience, leadership, and determination that continues to shape her approach to design.
